| Tatiana Leiva | | My name is Tatiana Leiva. I am originally from Santiago, Chile. I began my career in the north of Chile where I taught English as a Foreign Language K-12. I came to the United States through the Amity Teacher Exchange Program and began working for Saint Paul Public Schools in 2000. I received my Bachelor's Degree in English Language Arts in Chile. I earned an Elementary and an English as a Second Language Degree from Hamline University as well as a Master Degree in Education from Winona University.
During my early years at Adams I worked as a classroom teacher working with primary grades. Currently, I am an ELL teacher working with third and fourth grades. This, combined with my previous assignment, has given me a broader perspective of language acquisition and immersion, and the ability to work in depth with each student's need. In my time with the students. Our ELL team works in collaboration with classroom teachers to support and enhance literacy and math contents.
