In social studies, second grade students will:
- Learn about simple rights and responsibilities of people who live
in a community, describe different family patterns and their own
culture, use maps and globes, and tell directions of north, south, east
and west.
In science, second grade students will:
- Answer the question, "Why did this happen?" when doing
investigations or experiments and will write about their observations
in a journal. They will identify the basic human body parts and
systems, describe inventions that have made life easier, and describe
information in charts and graphs.
