Comencé a aprender mi segundo idioma cuando llegué a los Estados Unidos como refugiado de Viet Nam y tenía apenas 6 años. Por lo tanto, comprendo muy bien los retos y la gratificación que vive cada niño o niña que viene a la escuela Adams. Me encantan los idiomas e intento contagiar a todos mis alumnos con mi entusiasmo y curiosidad. En mis clases, no sólo aprendemos el alfabeto y los números sino también cantamos, jugamos, leemos y exploramos nuestra creatividad a través de las pinturas, la plastilina, los bloques de madera, etc.
¡Y, por supuesto que hacemos todo esto en el hermoso idioma de español!
Arriving as a Vietnamese refugee to the U.S., I began my second language acquisition when I was barely 6 years old. Therefore, I can very much relate to the challenges and rewards that every child who comes to Adams will experience. I love languages and try to impart this enthusiasm and curiosity to all of my students. In my classes, we don't just learn the ABCs and 123s, we also sing songs, play games, read books and explore our creativity through paints, Playdough, building blocks, etc. And of course, all this in the beautiful Spanish language!
