Bienvenidos a la clase de Senora Ruth. My name is Ruth Gandara and I am privileged to be yours child's first grade teacher this year.
I have been a teacher in Saint Paul Public Schools for twenty-two years. I have taught at two others elementary schools in the district before coming to teach at Adams. For the past seventeen years at Adams I have taught in both kindergarten and first grade. I earned my undergraduate degree and my teacher certificate from Macalester College.
Aside from enjoying and finding significance as a teacher, I am a mother of four young adult children. Three of my children are graduates of St. Paul Schools and have gone away to college to both the east and west coasts. I am the privileged grandmother of Jordan and Ethan , who live with their parents in California.
